Just call me chubs

BK has gained 3.3 lbs this month! He might just stand a chance
against his up and coming cousin.

He shows me he loves me

I think Brass Knuckles is trying to get in as favorite child.  Why? you ask, let me share some examples:

Example 1: Friday evening, 007 is home early and holding BK when he FINALLY poops.  It was massive, but since 007 was holding him, he changed it.  It turned out to be BK's first poopsplosion, and I didn't have to deal with it!!! woohoo!

Example 2: Saturday night, pooped with 007 AGAIN!  Not too bad, but he did pee on 007, which is always funny no matter who it hits.

Example 3: helping me play hooky from church(this is our last Sunday home) and saying cute things like 'coo', 'squeel', and 'gurgle' and practicing his smiles.

See how much fun this kid is to be with????  Plus unlike his big brother I can actually get housework done when he's around!!!

That being said, there are still no favorites.  Plus BK looses points for waking up at night, though he did a five hour stint last night, which was AWESOME!!  Can he repeat it though?

p.s. I fixed the pics so you can click on them and see them big now.

Little Boys are made off...

The Lovely LaYen posited the question 'How do they do that?'

My answer is because kids(boys in particular...girls, I dunno) are made of rubber,

some donuts(the fat adds viscosity),

wryness and drillbits,  (You can't keep that leg in place once yet get it there without some sort of fastener)

and a dash of salt (oh and maybe some funky violence...think Quentin Tarantino).

Some of these are old photos, but it was too good of an opportunity to not make a post like this from old photos.  Thanks for the inspiration.

I spy

I spy with my little eye someone's left foot. Do you see where it is???

Just like mommy

With his hands jauntily placed on his hips he says "I have a question
for you."

update:I just heard myself utter that phrase this morning...I didn't know I said it so much!

Setsubun!

Yesterday was the Japanese equivalent of Ground Hogs day. Basically the start of spring. Obaachan came over and we did the traditionally throwing beans out of the house to scare away Demons and ask for blessings. Edamame totally dug the Demon 'Oni' mask and did some battles with Obaachan while she was an Oni and he was a Lion. It is always a lot of fun to have her over.

In other news, sleep is crazy. I woke up a few nights ago freaking out! I thought I was holding Edamame and that Brass Knuckles had disappeared. I looked all over the bed just to realize that I was still holding BK and hadn't put him down. Opps. That leads me to the other thing, co-sleeping with three boys
see...all three boys
that all want to be snuggled up next to ME.

Oy! Edamame has started coming back to our bed, no surprise really, but it makes me very grateful for the basinet attached bed for BK. One night I woke up to feed BK and both 007 and Edamame were as close to me as they could be without being on top of each other. We could have fit one more adult on the bed with the space that was left over on 007's side.

Also, grandpa came over and Edamame helped him install baby locks on the cabinets. Yeah, we are slow, but I was able to watch one, but with two I'm not going to be able to watch as well. Edamame liked using the power drill.

A LOT!

not much else, Edamame has started memorizing books and reading them back to me. Right now his favorite to read to me is Paonchan no Kurisumasu(Little Elephant's Christmas). It got a bit on video, check out the video page in a few days once we upload the video.

Oh and Brass Knuckles keeps growing, he's starting to get his baby acne right now, but not too bad. We've only been peed on once so far, but hey he's making up for it in spit instead.

Got Nothing

I've got nothing to write.

Ok, so maybe a little.

Edamame keeps making up songs. Yesterday was the apple song...it went like this "apple apple apple apple".

I'm tired, but surviving better than I had hoped...A big THANK YOU to Heavenly Father for that one.

not to many pictures, but a bunch of videos.

Oh yeah and Edamame knows how to use YouTube now. Yep he's got some mouse point-and-click action going on. It makes a nerdy mom proud! Then I get frustrated that I have a harder time getting him away from it because he can use it himself and I get sucked into housework. mixed blessings, eh?

I got projectile spat-up on this morning. What about you?

Time to wake up edamame so that he'll sleep tonight. I do love nap time though.
