pictures floating around

I've been meaning to post these...but haven't yet.

Edamame likes to take a bath with BK. I have no idea why, because BK always tries to take his toys from him.

A craaaaaazy napper.

Books

We're cultivating a love of books early.

Ed: Daddy! I went pee pee on the roof Daddy!

007: Really? Then why are your pants all wet?

Grabbing sunshine

We'd all like to grab some sunshine sometimes.

One small step...

We're so close to crawling. I give it another week, two tops.

I need to stop encouraging him.

Ed: I want to be a girl fairy mommy.
Moi: oh really?
Ed: Yeah, I want to be the mother fairy.
Moi: Oh really? So you'd like to be the mother of all fairies, eh?
Ed: Yeah, that's right.

Flip Over jump

We have all sorts of health shennanigans going on right now resulting in many a sleep deprived night. So while I sleep, and let my heavily drugged pre-schooler fight 'mean people' with his 'sword', you can watch his sweet moves. Eat your heart out Rex!

toe crawling

Here is what BK is up to.

mobility

BK has been working on it pretty hard for the last week or two, and he's finally been able to propel himself forward. It was more of a push off with the toes while pushing with his arms. Once he figures out how to combine that with his other new skill of propping himself up on his hands and knees, I think he's got it.

I'd show a video of it, but I can't find that blasted cord. Sure hope I can find it soon.

mmmmm Pie

What better way to shirk domestic responsibility than to blog? So I'll blog about the apple pie I made for 007 for Father's Day. Yes, it is a day late, but between crazy nap schedules, getting BK's Japanese passport(woo hoo! we can finally take him out of the country without fear of not being able to get back in), Church and feeding children, it didn't happen as planned yesterday. At least it is better late than never.

Edamame had fun helping too.

He really wanted to plant an apple seed, so we planted one once the pie was baking. He is really enjoying our garden, so far we've harvested a few cucumbers, but we hope to have grape-tomatoes and artichoke soon. We should have some pumpkin and squash later in the year. The squash may not survive though with all this RAIN! Don't have to water the plants, but it has been heating up so the humidity is GROSS.

Oh and one more crafty thing. Edamame has a mild obsession with fish. Auntie M came over to watch Ed while I took BK to get his DPT a few weeks ago and she brought a felt fish with her. Instead of slaking his thirst for fish it only whetted his appetite and he demanded more. I made these two guys within about 12 hours of each other(yeah they are crappy, but he doesn't care, and it only took 20 minutes).

...oh and in case anyone wants to see how BK is doing. He's doing great, wearing his brother's 12 mos clothes...yep at 5 months people(thanks for the outfit Leigh!).

Reading

We had a visitor, she read us some stories.

Crib

Maybe I should switch Ed to the crib instead of BK. We'll see if it
even works. How do co-sleepers deal with a bed and crawling??? Last
time we were still on a futon so it didn't matter.

Translation

Because Japanese [buro-gu] is forgotten every two blow, it writes together. It works hard this time. It is transparent and the medical examination for four months [ya] [temashita] today. BK was said it was terrible and energetic. It was 7.47 kilos. ..my small Sumo.. ..filling.. [i].
It eats only a little in [edamame] [mosugoigenki]. The thunder was in the interest today.

WHAT?!?!?

I'm going to try to write in Japanese too...I used to have a separate blog, but quit because I was lazy, but with one blog I can down on laziness. Not like I have a HUGE Japanese readership, but hey maybe now 007's family won't feel so out of the loop.

The above is the online translation I got from the last post...looks like I need to work on my Japanese.

Slow going

I'll be posting much more sporadically because someone is flexing his
three year old wings, and leaving me exhausted.
Though I will try to get a pic of BK's teeth.
Enjoy your summer break.

Are you a rhetorical question

Ed: "Moooommmmmmyyyyy, can you do for me?"

Moi: "It shouldn't be too hard, can you try to do it yourself sweetie?"

Ed: "Can YOU try to do it yourself?"

p.s. I know it isn't a proper usage of rhetorical, but go with it...we've been getting up at 5 am the last few days, so proper word usage can take a hike.

Crackin' out

"Mommy, I want the other baby bird in the egg too!"

"Say 'Where are the baby birds?'"

Update, update, update

I was told that I haven't updated the blog recently enough.
Opps.

I'll get pictures as soon as we swap hard drives in my computer, suffice to say we've been busy.

Monday was BK's first follow-up, and it was pretty simple, just check to see how he's doing and schedule an ultrasound for his heart/arteries in a month, and get a refill on his aspirin. When I got back our new carpets were in. 007 and I were so excited about it that we installed the first carpet that night and we've been working all week to change the rooms. We're almost done, but still have a bit more rearranging/clean up to do. I'll try to take pictures of the house once we're done with our summer touch ups.

Oh and I'm going crazy with the rainy season and a fussy almost three year old, and a teething almost 5 month old baby.

Yep you read that right, BK cut his first tooth on the 5th...yikes! That was a surprise. He'd been sucking stuff non-stop for the last two weeks, and he put my finger in his mouth, and lo and behold, a tooth! That kid is just hitting all of his milestones early. I hope he starts to slow down in a bit!
