Haircut

Guess who got his regular summer haircut yesterday? He says it feels
a lot cooler too.

Half of a year!

I can't believe how time has flown by! 6 months and he's gone from
newborn to wiggly mobility. I'm so glad to have this super happy (not
to mention resilient) baby with us. I'm pretty sure Daddy is his
favorite person though.

4th of July

Ojiichan, being the wonderful man that he is, bought some fireworks for Edamame for the 4th of July (ok maybe just to play with, but it was the 4th of July). This was Ed's first time to see them and he had no idea what was going on, but once he started he didn't want to stop. It was mostly sparklers and stuff, but plenty of fun for an almost 3 year old guy. We didn't do anything special, other than eat a pie, but the fireworks made it feel a bit like the 4th of July. Maybe next year we'll go to the base instead of playing in Chiba.

Another early start

...in case you can't tell, he's chewing on an Emperor Palpatine pez
dispenser. Gotta start the Star Wars love early.

Curtains Accord!

It took us FOREVER to agree upon, but we found curtains, and we're all
happy. I finally feel like an adult living in a real house with real
(light blocking) curtains. Edamame likes the flowers
